Rescue 1122, officially known as the Punjab Emergency Service, is Pakistan’s pioneering humanitarian service, established under the Punjab Emergency Service Act of 2006. It was initiated in Lahore in 2004 as a pilot project to address the country’s critical need for organized emergency response services. Since its inception, Rescue 1122 has expanded its operations to all 36 districts of Punjab, serving a population exceeding 127 million. The service provides comprehensive emergency management, including medical emergencies, road traffic accidents, fires, building collapses, hazardous material incidents, water rescues, and animal rescues. Notably, Rescue 1122 has responded to over 14 million emergencies and has saved losses estimated at over Rs. 644 billion through timely interventions in more than 222,000 fire incidents.

No age/qualification relaxation (except for Punjab Emergency Service employees who get 5 years upper age relaxation for admin posts).
Vision below 6/18, BMI over 30, or positive Hepatitis B/C, HIV, or RPR will result in disqualification.
A 5% quota is reserved for minorities and 15% for females, and shemales are encouraged to apply.
